The approval of Republic Act 9280 paved the way for the birth of E.C. MANTALA CUSTOMS BROKERAGE. The firm is actually a reorganized group of individuals from the Cosco Customs Brokerage Corporation, one of the major service providers of Nippon Express Philippines Corporation offering customs brokerage both by air and by sea for almost ten (10) years.

The knowledge and experience of the incorporators of Cosco with the support of its employees brought the idea of putting up a new company in the same line of business. And so, on 22 March 2005, the organization named E. C. Mantala Customs Brokerage was registered with the Department of Trade and Industry. ECM, for short, aims to provide a professional, customer-oriented, fast and efficient service in the line of customs brokerage.
